The weather for our August match was hot and humid, but not nearly as much of either as August sometimes is. The wind didn't blow very hard, but had lots of switches, and let offs at times. Combined with the bright sun and humidity, it also made for lots of mirage, mostly boiling and swirling, and at times made it almost impossible to see rings on the target. The wind did come and go some, and some relays were worse than others.
Despite the tricky wind and bad mirage, it took a 400 to place in Open, and mid 390's in TR and Varmint. X counts were reasonably high as well.
Once again we had a good turnout, including 2 Junior shooters, both of whom shot well in the conditions. It is always good to see Junior shooters, hopefully they will be back next month!
